Bliss list
Lately, I feel like I've been suffering from Debbie Downer syndrome. But luckily, my favorite self-help book (Choosing Brilliant Health: 9 Choices That Redefine What It Takes to Create Lifelong Vitality and Well-Being) says that just thinking about the things that make you happy will actually improve your mood. So I've decided to make a "bliss list" of some of my favorite things. Here goes:
- Dancing
- Hiking
- Animals (except for snakes, squirrels and geese)
- Ferry rides
- Amusement parks
- Christmas shopping
- Going to the beach
- Going out to eat (OK, maybe just eating in general)
- Spending time with my cousins
- Writing
- Arts and crafts (especially homemade cards)
- Reading
- Swimming
- Freshly picked corn on the cob
- Pool parties
- Strawberry picking
- Fall festivals
- Long walks in the evening sun
- Making snowmen
- Pumpkin lattes
- Waking up to the sunrise
- Cross-country skiing
- Museums/aquariums
- Packing for vacation
- Day parties
- Plane rides
- Flip flops
- Sundresses
- Breakfast outside
- Singing with the windows rolled down
- Ice cream sandwiches
