#25...Check

I never would have guessed that a play about mentally ill patients battling the cruelties of an insane asylum would be so thoroughly entertaining. Although I love the book and the movie, I simply wasn't looking forward to such a dark show on such a dreary weekend.

But it ended up being unexpectedly, and to some degree, unintentionally hilarious. One particular patient, Martini, stole the show. As he skipped and sashayed around the stage in his pink slippers, high-wasted boxers and high-water pajama pants, it was apparent that he was supposed to be the comical character to help lighten the mood when things felt grim.

But once the Woods girls start laughing, there is just no stopping us. And the fact that we were trying desperately to stop once a scene started to become somber, well, it just made us laugh even harder. Why is inappropriate laughter always the hardest to contain? While we tried to keep the volume down to a minimum, I definitely crossed #25 off of my to-do list.
