Sometimes I forget that I don't actually know Augusten Burroughs. After reading his books, it's hard not to feel a kinship to him. He freely offers the intimate details and dirty secrets of his adventures as if he's talking to his closest friend. Honestly, what stranger would tell you about the time he got black-out drunk and accidentally slept with a 65-year-old Santa?

I certainly enjoyed his latest collection of stories, although I wish it was longer. My number 11 went by a little too quickly.
