Lazy pieroges

Ingredients:
Cook macaroni. Place half the macaroni, cottage cheese and 4 slices of American cheese in a greased, 2-quart dish. Dot with half of the butter. Repeat for second layer. Saute onions and butter, and then drizzle over the macaroni mixture.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Stir to blend.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of shell macaroni
- 1 pound of cottage cheese
- 8 slices of American cheese (cut in strips)
- 1/2 stick of margarine
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
